How made to measure works at TailorWear
Design your suit, jacket, trousers or shirt online, send your measurements, and our master tailor checks everything before your cloth is cut to your own pattern in our Mumbai workroom. Here is each step, what it costs to deliver, and what happens if something needs changing.
Four steps
From your first click to your door

Sign up
Give us your name, contact details, country, height and weight, then confirm your email with a 6-digit code. The builder opens straight away and remembers you on that device for six months.

Design
Pick the garment, then the cloth and every detail: lapels, pockets, collar, cuffs and lining. Add your body measurements with the short picture guide shown for each one. Prices show in your currency as you go.

Our master tailor confirms
Our master tailor checks your cloth, measurements and every detail, and clarifies anything with you over chat or a call before cutting. You then receive the final price with delivery. You pay with one secure Razorpay link. International cards are accepted.
04
Made and delivered
Your pattern is cut in our Mumbai workroom. Your order is made in about 15 days, or about 30 when the cloth is imported for it, then shipped tracked to your door.

Measuring yourself
A tape measure and fifteen minutes
You need a soft tape measure, about fifteen minutes and, ideally, someone to help. The builder shows a short picture guide for every measurement, so you always know where the tape goes.
Our master tailor checks the numbers against each other and against your height and weight before any cloth is cut. If something looks off, we clarify it with you over chat or a call first.

Prefer to be measured by hand?
Our tailor comes to you at home, at work or at your hotel in Mumbai and Pune, and on visiting dates in other cities. Tell us your preferred dates and we will confirm a time.
Make times and delivery
When it arrives, and what it costs to get there
Make time
About 15 days from your confirmed order, or about 30 days when the cloth is imported for your order. Your stylist confirms the date when you order.
Delivery
We ship by standard tracked international courier. Your stylist confirms the delivery cost together with your price before you pay, and you receive tracking details by email when your order leaves Mumbai.

If we do not deliver to your country yet, ask your stylist before you order. Where duty is paid by you, the courier usually collects it before delivery. The amount is set by your country’s customs, so we cannot quote it in advance. Full details are on our shipping and delivery page.
Alterations and returns
If something needs changing
Every garment is cut to your own pattern, so made-to-order clothes cannot be returned.
If something we made does not match the order details you approved, we alter or remake it at no cost to you. If it matches but you would like a change, we can usually alter it, and you pay for the alteration and shipping.
Tell us on the day your order arrives, with photos of the fit. The full policy is on our alterations and returns page.
Questions
Before you start
Do I need to visit Mumbai?
No. You can design, measure, pay and receive your order without visiting us. If you would like to talk it through, a stylist is on WhatsApp, and our tailor can also come to you in Mumbai and Pune, or when we visit your city.
Which cloth do you use?
Italian, Indian and Japanese suiting and shirting. You can browse it in the builder, or in our suiting atelier and shirting atelier.
What if I am unsure of a measurement?
Give your best reading and add a note. Our master tailor checks every measurement before cutting and will clarify anything with you over chat or a call.
How do I pay?
Once your order and price are confirmed, you receive one secure Razorpay payment link. It accepts international cards.
Do you make shoes and belts too?
Yes. Our shoes are hand-lasted, and each belt is cut from the same leather as its shoes. See shoes and belts.
