ALTERATIONS & RETURNS

At TailorWear, our goal is to dress you flawlessly. We do not simply provide products; we provide a sartorial service backed by in-depth subject matter expertise. Because every garment is custom-made to your unique silhouette, we handle refinements with the utmost care.

1. THE TAILORWEAR “PERFECT FIT” PROMISE

We thoroughly test every garment against your order specifications and measurements. However, we understand that bespoke tailoring is an art of precision.

Manufacturing Discrepancies: In the rare event a garment is made incorrectly (not matching the agreed-upon order details), we will alter or remake the item at zero cost to you, regardless of your location.

Mumbai & Pune Commissions: We provide complimentary alterations within 15 days of delivery. Please coordinate directly with your appointed Personal Tailor Stylist or contact customer.care@tailorwear.in to schedule a fitting session.

2. DOMESTIC ALTERATIONS (OUTSIDE MUMBAI/PUNE)

If you are located within India but outside our primary service cities:

Technical Refinements: If a garment was made to your specifications but you desire a different fit or style change, we will carry out the alteration if technically possible. In these instances, the client is responsible for the alteration cost and two-way shipping.

3. OVERSEAS ALTERATIONS (INTERNATIONAL)


For our global clientele, we offer a dedicated remote support process:

Style/Fit Adjustments: If the garment matches your specifications but requires further refinement, we will perform the work at actual costs. The client is responsible for the cost of alteration, international shipping, and all applicable duties.

Incorrect Garments: If a garment does not meet the specified order details, we will remake or alter it without service charges. The client is responsible for any import duties incurred during the shipment of the garment back to our Indian atelier.

4. THE “FINAL SALE” POLICY

Due to the highly personalized nature of bespoke tailoring, all orders are final sale. Unlike traditional retail, a custom-commissioned garment cannot be “put back on the rack.” We take pride in our zero-waste philosophy and do not repurpose materials used for your unique pattern.

How to Shop with Confidence: We understand that digital displays can vary in color and texture. If you are uncertain about a fabric for a major occasion:

Fabric Swatches: Where available, we can mail physical fabric swatches to your location for a nominal fee before you commit to a full commission.

5. HOW TO INITIATE A REQUEST


To ensure a swift response, please follow this protocol:

  1. Notify us the same day you receive the garment.
  2. Provide clear photographs of the fit issues while wearing the garment.
  3. Ship the item back to our atelier the next business day after receiving approval from our team.
